David Berger was born in 1973 and graduated from the glassmaking school (SOÚS) in Nový Bor. After completing his studies, he worked in nearby glassworks, where he honed his craft as a cutter and learned various glass processing techniques. His passion for glass, as well as his great skills and quality, convinced Bořek Šípek in 2011 to choose him as his court cutter for his newly opened Anežka glassworks in Nový Bor. David Berger worked there until 2025 and now works in his new workshop, where he continues to process glass and carry on his legacy.
His high-quality professional work has long been used and appreciated by other glass companies such as Lasvit, Sans Souci, Royal Glass 1905, Kolektiv, and many others.
Influenced by Šípek's attention to detail, David decided to produce his dream glass jewelry, which he had been thinking about for many years. His love of glass and craftsmanship allows him to see the beauty of glass in every piece, and his hands conjure up unique, original jewelry. He prefers to work with iridescent Art Nouveau glass, which is now rare.
